The Formula 12 Formulation Conference in Sofia, Bulgaria, was a resounding success. The highlight of the event was the Prof Gordon Tiddy Memorial Lecture, delivered by Prof Werner Kunz, which was very well received. Prof Kunz provided an in-depth discussion on Prof Tiddy's significant research contributions and his warm personality. He fondly recalled the professional and personal moments shared during Prof Tiddy's secondment in his laboratory.
During the conference, the FSTG sponsored the Best Oral Presentation and Best Poster Presentation awards. The organizing committee did an excellent job supporting the extensive jury evaluation of 12 oral presentations and over 70 poster presentations eligible for the awards.
The winners of the Prof Gordon Tiddy Award were:

- 1st place: Jose Franco - £250
- 2nd place: Hristina Mirtcheva - £100
- 3rd place: Smaragda-Maria Arguri - £50
- Best Oral Prize: Arturo Winters - £300
Overall, the quality of the presentations and research shared during the conference was outstanding and very impressive. The event was a grand success, and the RSC FSTG was well represented. The International Advisory Board specially thanked the RSC FSTG for establishing and sponsoring this valuable award to encourage early career researchers and young PhD graduates.
Bindhu Gururajan represented the RSC FSTG at the conference, chaired the Prof Gordon Tiddy Memorial Lecture, and played an active role in judging and organizing the awards during the event.

Ecoform 2013 is a technical conference aimed to promote the exchange of information and experience among scientists and other professionals working in the field of green chemistry and formulation.
