The executive committee of the Formulation Science and Technology Group (RSC-FST) is made of elected representatives of the membership. The offices of the committee are the Chair (de facto trustee of the subject group), the Secretary and the Treasurer. The primary responsibility of the committee is to oversee the smooth running of the activities of the Formulation Science and Technology Group, in particular its many conferences.

Purpose of the FSTG
Terms of Reference
- To organise scientific meetings and other activities to enable those involved in formulation to adopt best practices, exchange knowledge and promote innovation.
- To enable dialogue between all parties concerned with formulation to foster awareness of the field of formulation science and technology and to educate practitioners.
- To understand and disseminate relevant policies and practices to the formulation community.
- To share and facilitate knowledge exchange between members, academia, industry, stakeholders, and policymakers.
- To identify the impact of science and technology on all aspects of product formulation, including (but not limited to) pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, consumer products, speciality chemicals and industrial products.
- To emphasise, explore and extend the contribution of chemistry to formulation science and technology from initial concept to market research and future design.
