Vitaliy Khutoryanskiy is a Reader in Pharmaceutical Materials at Reading School of Pharmacy, the University of Reading (UK). His research interests include water-soluble polymers and hydrogels, muco- and bioadhesive materials, stimuli-responsive polymers, nano- and microencapsulation technologies, and transmucosal drug delivery. He received his Ph.D. in polymer chemistry in 2000 from Kazakh National Technical University (Kazakhstan). Dr Khutoryanskiy has published over 80 original research articles and 7 reviews. He also edited 1 book and filed 2 patent applications. He is a recipient of the 2012 McBain Medal, a joint award of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Society of Chemical Industry (UK), for his research in the field of colloid, polymer and interface science. Dr Khutoryanskiy is a member of Editorial Advisory Board for the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, member of EPSRC peer-review College and committee member of United Kingdom and Ireland Controlled Release Society (UKICRS) and Formulation Science and Technology Group (FSTG).
